New 22 string Erat single-action added to collection. Made circa 1830 I am unsure of the purpose of this small instrument though hope to reveal it's story through examination and research. Photographs on harps page.

A new exhibition of musical instruments opens late this month at the Horniman Museum, London. Newly exhibited instruments include the Dizi Perpendicular harp on loan from the now moth-balled V&A musical instrument collection.
Just returned from exhibition launch. This is well-worth a visit as is the rest of the Horniman Museum.
February 2010
Despite the efforts of many the V&A have closed and disbanded their collection of musical instruments. Offers of new, funded locations were rejected before being considered. Letters of protest and complaint to Mark Jones, Director of the V&A are positively encouraged.
